According to the data projections provided by the Tennessee Department of Health, Office of Health Statistics, the Hispanic population in Tennessee will reach 228,886 by 2010. With the Hispanic population nearly doubling since the 2000 census, it is essential to train emergency medical services personnel to communicate effectively and efficiently with this population.
