WHAT?

This is the second in a series of 3 courses. This course is designed to cover the concepts, terminology, systems software, applications software, network enterprises, network technologies, and hardware of Information Technology. Also telecommunication, reprographics, document layout and design, and ergonomics will be included in this course. Discussion groups, assignments, and a mock CPS examination® will be instrumental to the learning experience.

One may take this course in the privacy of their home or at work.  You will need the following:  Computer with internet access, have and be able to use at least Microsoft Word '98, and comfortable navigating the Web and email usage.

· State colleges and universities give a nine percent salary increase to their clerical-secretarial or clerical-management non-exempt staff.

· Many private sector employers offer incentives to their administrative employees for receiving their CPS certification®.

· CPS® holders earn an average $2300 more annually.

· CPS® rating is well-known throughout the country and is a highly sought job requirement by top executives.
