Program Evaluation
A systematic plan for program evaluation is employed to monitor program effectiveness. This plan incorporates RODP required assessments, surveys conducted by participating Universities, and measures specific to the MSN RODP program. Surveys specific to precepted assignments include: Preceptor Evaluation Form, Evaluation of Clinical Site, and Preceptor Survey. The Preceptor Evaluation Form is completed by the student to assess the level of attention and instruction provided by the Preceptor as well as the value of the experience. The Evaluation of Clinical Site form is completed by the student and supervising faculty to assess the type of patient experiences available to the student. The Preceptor Survey is completed by the preceptor to assess the level of support provided to the preceptor and the readiness of the student for the assigned experience. Processes are in place for timely collection and analysis. Summary reports are forwarded to the preceptor/agency as appropriate. Aggregated and trended data received from all assessment methods are evaluated and used in decision making for program improvement.
